The first poem named Carpe diem, I think the author wrote this poem to motivate himself. Encourage yourself to believe that life is beautiful. I love the lines about nature, like "let water heal your body." Mainly because I like the author's use of heal here, which makes the water feel powerful and makes me feel as if I were in the water. And the author's feelings in this poem should be passionate and hopeful. For the second poem named Introduction to Poetry, in this poem, the author compares the poem to many different things, which is very interesting. My favorite part is the part where the author mentions the mouse. I think he compares the reader to the mouse, and the mouse's escape is the process of understanding the deeper meaning of the poem. The emotion I might have when I read this poem might be curious.
