Mother to the son
I think the purpose of why the writer writes this poem is very simple, so when I first read it I could be sure that the poem was written to teach children something about life. As the poem says, there will be no crystal stairs in life. This means that no one will set everything up for you, and there will be no shortcuts. All your achievements need to be achieved step by step. On the way, as the poem says, there will be a lot of tacks and splinters. These are the difficulties you encounter in your efforts, but you cannot retreat or stop. Because your life goes on you have to move on. This is indeed a point I like about this poem because what the author mentioned is very realistic. It's like what my parents would teach me at home. So I am very able to understand the author, including the feelings of the author who wants to read this poem. I also like the way the author wrote this poem. As a poem that teaches others, he told the reader directly what he wanted to tell. This makes it unnecessary for me to read this poem repeatedly to ponder what the author's deep meaning is, or what the authors use to express what information they want to express. Because of this very straightforward narrative, I don't feel tired or bored while reading this poem. Depend on this, the first time I read this poem and read it a few times, I felt the same about this poem. In my opinion, the author's tone is serious, because he mentioned that sometimes walking in the dark without any light, this is a very realistic description, indicating that the author has experienced some desperate moments that life has brought him, let He can't find hope. And I think the person he told these is a person older than a teenager. And about the questions that I want to ask this writer are under what circumstances did he write this poem? There should be some reasons for him to write this, so I also want to ask him why he wrote this poem to his son. On the other hand, because the writer is a male, so why the title of this poem is mother to the son not father to the son? My last question is what does he think of some families planning a life plan when the child is just born?
